What time can I Check In or Check Out

Our Lodges will be ready to Check In at 4pm and Check Out is by 10 am on the day you are leaving.

How do I Check In?

As we reopen our doors into this new world with COVD-19 alongside us, we have worked hard to look at how we can minimise any potential risks to both you and us, whilst at the same time trying not to lose any of the Angrove experience. Hopefully our new plans will work for everyone, but we will review how things are going and make tweaks as we try to keep everyone safe.

We are now completing Check In registration before you arrive. This will help to keep everything as safe as we can make it and also helps you to provide the information you are now required to provide by law as part of Test and Trace system.

In the week leading up to your arrival, you will receive an email from us with all the information you need for Check In. If you have booked through Hoseasons we do not automatically receive an email for you so please contact us with your email address – info@angrove.co.uk

Parking at the lodge

Each lodge has space for at least one car. There is extra car parking in the main car park - there is a maximum two cars at any lodge.

Security Deposit and Breakages

We ask all guests staying with us for a £100 security deposit.

We will send you a secure payment link as part of the Check In process which will take a preauthorisation of your card. This means no money will be taken from your account. Your bank will ring fence funds in your account rather than us holding any of your money. It will show in your account as a pending payment however this does not mean we have taken any money from you.

We understand that sometimes accidents happen! Should you break anything please let us know - if it's minor, we usually won't charge. If it's a larger issue (e.g. the TV screen or damage to a carpet or an extra cleaning charge is needed) we would like to agree the cost with you before you leave to avoid any issues later. 

When you have finished your stay with us your bank will release these funds. If we ever need to ask for money to cover damages, we will always make contact with you first to let you know.

Please note - most card issuers hold funds between 3-5 days however we recommend that you check with your card issuer as to how long pre-authorisations are held on your account as Banks can differ. 

Can a stag/hen party or large groups stay?

We do not accept bookings for stag and hen parties - without exception. Bookings for large groups where other guests may be disrupted will not be accepted.

The Park Management will ask people to leave if there are reports of noise or unsociable behaviour or they become aware that people are staying on a hen or stag party. No refund will be given should this happen.

Are the holiday lodges open throughout the year?

The Park is open every day, all year round. There may be occasions when The G & Tea House is not open so please check their social media for updates.

Do I need to bring bed linen or towels?

Bed linen, towels and robes are included in the price of your stay with us, with all beds made up ready for your arrival. If you have asked for a travel cot, we will provide a single sheet but please make sure to bring all other bedding and mattress.

Do I need to bring hot tub towels?

Yes, please – we do not provide towels for use with the hot tub. 

What we provide?

All our lodges are self-catering and kitted out to help make your holiday feel a home from home. The kitchens in all the lodges are fully integrated and have an oven, hob, fridge freezer, dishwashers, washing machine and microwave oven.

Wren Lodge has a fridge with ice box and does not have a dishwasher or washing machine.

We provide a ‘starter supply’ of toilet rolls in the lodge for your arrival just in case you forget. We also provide a tea towel, some washing up liquid, dishwasher tablet (where appropriate) and each lodge has a vacuum cleaner, mop and bucket.

There is also an iron, ironing board and hairdryer in the lodge.

Do you have a Travel Cot and Highchair?

We can provide these free of charge for your stay - please let us know in advance if you need them so they can be in your lodge ready for your arrival. Please note that the travel cot is provided without a mattress or bedding other than a single sheet.

Are there BBQ facilities?

We no longer hire out BBQs for a number of safety reasons. We know that having a BBQ can be a fun part of a holiday so we are happy for you to bring your own but please use them with caution as they can cause a lot of damage.

Each of our lodges have patio areas where BBQ's can be used. BBQ's must not be used on any of the decking. We can provide a stand for disposable BBQ's free of charge. They hold 2 x small trays or 1 x large size tray. Disposable BBQ's must not be used on any surface where scorching or burning may occur, e.g., grass, decking, wood. Any damage caused will be charged at £100.

How accessible is the Park?

All our lodges are single storey with no internal stairs so once inside the lodge the accommodation is all on one level. Each shower has a small lip to step over to get into the shower. Externally they all have 3-5 standard steps up to the decking and main entrance doors. All our hot tubs are on patio areas off the decking.

Please be advised that while all lodges are single story with no internal stairs, they all have 3-5 standard sized steps up to them with handrails.

The roads around the lodges are surfaced with Yorkshire Stone and then from the car park and around The G & Teahouse are tarmac. The G & Teahouse is wheelchair friendly, having a ramp around the building to be able to enter safely. There are accessible washroom facilities inside.

Is smoking permitted?

All our lodges are non-smoking, this applies to e-cigarettes as well.

Is there Wi-Fi or an internet connection available?

Yes, we have super-fast broadband at the Park and Wi-Fi is available free in all the lodges and The G & Teahouse. 

Will my mobile phone work?

Yes, your mobile phone should work as there is a good 3G-4G signal around the park.

What kind of wildlife do you have on or around the park?

Angrove Country Park is in a beautiful rural setting, therefore, please expect to meet wildlife of all sizes and varieties! It will not be unusual for you to see barn owls, birds of prey, pheasants, hares and rabbits. We also have the animals of the smaller variety (spiders!) - most of which much prefer to be outside, so please in the unlikely event of one following you inside, just open the window, so they can get out!

What rules does the park have about noise?

Our Park is in a quiet, rural setting and offers tranquillity and respite away from the hustle and bustle of urban life. We ask that all guests are mindful of others staying at the park and do not act or behave in a way that affects other people. 

Between the hours of 10.00 pm and 9.00 am we kindly request that guest activities are such that they do not affect their neighbours. You can use your hot tub at any time however we do ask that whatever time you use it, especially into the night, that you do not create noise that affects other people. Remember that voices and other noises carry further in the countryside, particularly when there is no other traffic or background noise. 

Will the hot tub be ready to use when we arrive?

We work hard on changeover days to have all our hot tubs fully emptied, cleaned, refilled and reheated ready for guests to use when they arrive. Sometimes this can take longer than expected and it may be that your hot tub might not be ready to use during the first few hours after check-in - however, it is our aim to do everything possible for this not the case. 

Can I make a supermarket delivery?

We are sorry but Supermarket deliveries cannot be made to the Park. We have had several issues with these when they were allowed as we have no facilities to take delivery of any orders should something prevent you from arriving on time to meet the delivery van. We also do not allow delivery vans or the general public into the area where our rental lodges are placed so they would not be able to take it to your lodge.

Our post code is TS9 6PY - this does not have a 100% success rate yet as it is a new postcode, so we have provided some directions for you too just in case. If your sat nav directs you to Yarm Lane in Great Ayton, then it is wrong but the directions below should help you find us.

Travelling from the South - Leave the A1(M) taking the exit for A168 towards A19/Thirsk/Teesside. Continue on A19 for approx. 17 miles and leave at the junction for A172 Stokesley. Stay on this road until you reach a roundabout at Stokesley. Take the 3rd exit A173 to Great Ayton. (Sat Nav's sometimes try to send you a different way at this point but ignore it!) Our entrance is approximately 2 miles along this road on the left hand side. 

Travelling from the North - Leave the A19 at the junction for A174 slip road for Whitby/Teesport/Wilton. Take the B1365 for Hemlington/Coulby Newham and then the A172 to Stokesley. (Ignore signs for Great Ayton on this road as it will take you the wrong way). Stay on this road until you come to a roundabout at Strikes Garden Centre. Take the 2nd exit and at the next roundabout take the first exit A173 to Great Ayton. Our entrance is approximately 2 miles along this road on the left hand side.

If you do get a bit lost and end up in Great Ayton, leave the village heading towards Stokesley. As you leave the village you will pass The Buck Hotel Pub on your left-hand side and the river will be on your right. Stay on this road and our entrance will be on the right-hand side approximately one mile out of the village.
