Our four legged friends...
We have a number dog friendly lodges available at our Park. A doggy goodie bag awaits your four legged friend. Don’t worry when they get covered ‘up to the eyeballs’ in muck, we even have an on-site dog washing station. Or to really give your pooch the five star treatment, book them in to the mobile groomers who will come to your lodge by appointment. Please let us know that you will be bringing your dog as not all lodges are pet ready.
Frequently Asked Questions - Your stay at Angrove
How do we make a reservation?
Reservations can made directly through Hoseasons website on behalf of Angrove Country Park, or pop into Reception and we can make a booking for you there.
What time can I check in or check out?
The lodges will be available from 4.00pm on the day of arrival and check-in closes at 8.00pm. Check out is 10:00am and Reception will be open from 8.00am to receive keys on the morning of your departure. Please get in touch with us in advance if you wish to arrive/depart outside of these times so that arrangements can be made subject to availability. These arrangements may incur a charge.
Can a stag/hen party or single sex group stay?
We do not accept bookings for stag and hen parties without exception.
The park management will ask people to leave if there are reports of noise or unsociable behaviour or they become aware that people are staying on a hen or stag party. No refund will be given should this happen.
Are the holiday lodges and log cabins open throughout the year?
We are open everyday, all year round.
Do I need to bring bed linen or towels?
Bed linen, towels and robes are included in the price of your stay with us, with all beds made up ready for your arrival. Longer stays (over 4 nights) will be offered a change of linen. If you have asked for a travel cot, please make sure to bring your own bedding.
What else do you provide?
All our lodges are self-catering and have crockery and kitchen utensils provided for the relevant number of lodge guests including non breakable glasses to use around the hot tubs. All our lodges have dishwashers and a washing machine (except Goldfinch, dishwasher only). Each kitchen also has a integrated fridge/freezer, oven and hob, microwave, kettle and toaster. There are smart TV’s and DVD’s in each of the lodges and a TV in each main bedroom. Each lodge has a vacuum cleaner, iron ironing board and hairdryer and we will leave you a cleaning pack to use during your stay which includes some toilet rolls for when you arrive. If you need any top ups, these can be purchased from reception or from local shops.
We ask that you don’t use quilted toilet paper as the thickness of it plays havoc with our drains and we dont want you to have blocked toilets during your stay. Thank you.
What supplies are available at the Park?
We offer a number of different ‘bundles’ that can be ready for you in your lodge for when you arrive or collected from reception at your convenience- breakfast, Sunday Lunch, beers, prosecco, BBQ, evening meal, kids meals, toiletries, doggy bundle. These can be pre-ordered through our reception before you arrive. Any thing else that you may have forgotten or require can probably be picked up in the local villages less than 5 minutes away.
Are there BBQ facilities?
Each lodge has a patio area for BBQ’ing. We have a limited number of BBQ’s to hire which includes tools, charcoal and firelighters. Please do not bring your own BBQ and there must be no BBQ’s used on the decking.
A security deposit will be taken when you hire the BBQ which if needed may be used to cover any damage caused. We do not allow chimneas, wood burning stoves or any open fires anywhere on the Park.
Do you accept pets?
Yes, terms and conditions apply- please read our Pet’s Policy.
How Accessible is the Park?
The main reception building, parking facilities and surrounding areas are accessible. The central reception building has ramp access, accessible toilet and large print forms and menu’s etc. We currently don’t have any specifically accessible lodges however we do hope to by 2019. We welcome Guide dogs and Assistance Dogs in all lodges and facilities.
Please be advised that while all lodges are single story with no internal stairs, they all have 3-5 standard sized steps up to them with handrails.
Is smoking permitted?
All our lodges and The G&Tea House are non-smoking. Cigarette butts are not biodegradable so please be respectful of the environment and dispose of them in bins around the Park.
Is there wi-fi or an internet connection available?
Yes, we have super-fast broadband at the Park and Wi Fi is available in all the lodges and G&Tea House.
Will my mobile phone work?
Yes, your mobile phone should work as there is a good 3G-4G signal around the park from most service providers.
Angrove Country Park is in a beautiful rural setting therefore please expect to meet some wildlife. Many of our guests have seen the owls and birds of prey that live around us. There are of course other much smaller animals all of whom would much prefer to be outside, so please, in the unlikely event of one of them following you inside, just open the window so they can get out!
What rules does the Park have about noise?
We ask that all guests are mindful of others also staying at the Park. Stays in the countryside provide a tranquility and respite from the hustle and bustle of urban life.
Between the hours of 10.30 pm and 9.00 am we kindly request that guest activities are unobtrusive to their neighbours. Remember that voices and other noises carry further in the countryside particularly when there is no other traffic noise.
Do you provide separate towels to use with the hot tub?
We provide robes for you to use with the hot tub so if you would like to have towels too we ask that you bring your own .
Will I be able to use the hot tub throughout my stay?
We work hard on changeover days to have all our hot tubs emptied, cleaned, refilled and reheated ready for guests to use when they arrive. Sometimes this can take longer than expected and it may be that your hot tub might not be ready to use during the first few hours after check-in however it is our aim to do everything possible for this not to be the case.
Please make sure you read the hot tub user guidance in your Welcome Folder before using the hot tub. If it is necessary to clean the hot tub during your stay and you have not followed the guidance, a maintenance fee may apply.
Can I make a supermarket delivery?
Supermarket deliveries cannot be made to the Park. We have no facilities to take delivery of any orders should something prevent you from arriving on time to meet the delivery van. For the security of everyone staying at the Park, we also do not allow deliveries or the general public into the area where our rental lodges are placed.
Can I have takeaway food delivered to my lodge?
You are more than welcome to order a takeaway from local stores however you will need to meet the driver at the delivery point which is in the main car park. For security reasons we do not allow delivery vehicles into the area of the Park where holiday guests are staying.
